It’s my blog and I’ll post about Jennifer Lawrence at the Oscars if I want to

So Jennifer Lawrence won the Oscars.

She also won an Oscar (for Best Actress in a Leading Role for Silver Linings Playbook – called it!) but she also won the whole damn show. And the Internet. Seriously.

The entire world has gone Jennifer Lawrence crazy – myself included. I have had a long (but very inspiring day) so I’m going to just post pretty pictures, videos and GIFs of Jennifer Lawrence. You’re welcome. (And I’m welcome too).

On the red carpet:

Oh my god, it’s Bradley Cooper!

At the ceremony:

Sexy. I wish I was this confident.

Her name gets called:

And then it’s everyone’s worst nightmare… Jennifer Lawrence falls at the Oscars.

But she managed to shake it off where most of us probably would have curled under our chairs and died…

At her winners’ press conference:

As she walked up onto the podium, a photographer apparently told her to watch her step…

When asked what went through her mind…

And I love this… This would be me!

In fact, her whole damn presser is worth the watch if you have a few minutes to spare. She is so cool.

At the parties:

Gets ambushed by her family:

Jack Nicholson crashes her interview (I love her “Oh my god!”)

In fact, the Oh my god is worth a GIF of its own. And with that, good night.

Day Seventeen – #30DayBlogChallenge

Day Seventeen – Your celebrity crush.

Bitch, please. I’m an entertainment editor. I don’t have just one celebrity crush. I have loads. My top ones are: Andrew Garfield, Elijah Wood, Hugh Laurie, Ryan Gosling, Mila Kunis, Emma Stone, Olivia Wilde.

Andrew GarfieldAndrew Garfield: Thought he was outstanding in Boy A (Seriously, I say it at least once a month… Go rent that film!), divine in The Imaginarium of Dr Parnassus and unbelievably gorgeous in The Social Network. And now he’s in The Amazing Spider-Man. Yay.

Elijah WoodElijah Wood: Possibly my longest-lasting celeb crush, it developed not with The Lord of the Rings but with Oliver Twist (a Disney made-for-TV movie, he played the Artful Dodger). Then came LotR and since then… I’ve been sold.

Hugh LaurieHugh Laurie: Smart, funny, sexy as all hell… Sure, I’m probably more than half in love with his House character, but there’s no actor I’d rather see interviewed.

Ryan GoslingRyan Gosling: Lame, I know. So sue me, he’s ridiculously hot.

Mila KunisMila Kunis: See above.

Emma StoneEmma Stone: One of the smartest, wittiest, most beautiful stars in Hollywood… And she also seems to have both feet firmly in the ground. She’s awesome. Definitely my biggest celebrity girl-crush, by a country mile.

olivia wildeOlivia Wilde: She was “Thirteen” in House, and ridiculously hot in Cowboys & Aliens. Seriously, she’s gorgeous. And funny. And huge-hearted.

No, Rob. The beard must go.

Look, I’ll admit to being one of the – oh, half a billion – females on the planet that think that Robert Pattinson can be bloody sexy if he wants to be. (And when he’s not in Twilight. I’m sorry, he’s just too pale – and that’s a lot coming from me, seeing as I prefer pale guys.)

But the beard has come back – after about a year of being relatively fuzz-free, it looks like Rob’s been popping fertilisers in his spare time. In a tweet this evening I described him as a “wannabe-wookie” or a “drunken lumberjack”. (Pics taken on 21 October at LAX).

He looks like something out of Star Wars. The Prequels. Tell me I’m wrong.

Hugh Laurie is so, so worth it…

He’s best known for his portrayal of the ridiculously, absurdly sexy Dr Greg House in House – and now Loreal has decided to make him the new face of their Men Expert range of products.

He’s got the rugged look that Loreal want, obviously – the I’m a real man, not a girl, look real men use our products too look that cosmetics companies are going for. But the genius lies in his personality – of which he has oodles, unlike the rather dull Gerard Butler.

Their behind-the-scenes promo video features Laurie at his self-deprecating best. He’s funny, charming and can hold the screen like nobody’s business. (I’m a fan, is it obvious?)

Watch the video below, then check out how well he cleans up after the jump.

Tom Cruise in ‘Rock of Ages’

It’s one of the most talked-about projects in Hollywood at the moment. The big-screen version of the Broadway musical Rock of Ages already boasts a massive cast. Think Russell Brand, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Paul Giamatti, Alec Baldwin and… Tom Cruise.

Can we just pause to bask in the sheer awesomeness of this? (Click on the image for a larger version).

Tom Cruise - Rock of Ages

Tom Cruise as Stacee Jaxx in 'Rock of Ages'

Cruise is looking fantastic in this pic (which was originally posted on his official blog) – it’s gotta be all the work on the fourth Mission: Impossible. (Yes, there is a fourth. This is indeed the decade of the remake/reboot/sequel/franchise). And, can I just say, Cruise with tattoos works for me.

So sure, he looks the part, but can he sing? Rock of Ages director Adam Shankman reckons he’s going to rock it. “He’s been studying with Axl Rose’s voice teacher, like, five hours a day,” Shankman says. “The prognosis is more than excellent. The voice lesson where he opened up and suddenly let loose… was really great.”

Okay, okay. I can dig it.

Rock of Ages is scheduled for release next year. The hype may kill me.

Need a publicity boost? Have a baby!

Mariah Carey Life & Style cover

We got a very pregnant, very naked Mariah Carey on the cover of 'Life&Style'.

Mariah Carey’s twins are just a few days old and I’m already feeling mildly ill… Mostly because of the way she’s used her babies as one hell of a promotional tool.

Before the babies were even born we were simply swamped with Mariah and her who-the-heck-is-that-guy hubby Nick Cannon speaking to every newspaper and magazine they could find. We had stories about her cravings, stories about how tired she was, how lucky they were, her massive baby shower etcetera, etcetera, et-fucking-cetera. She showed off her baby bump and the twins’ nursery in a lavish magazine spread. And that is just the external publicity. After that is where my gag reflex kicks in. A lot.

If you head on over to Mariah’s official website and Twitter account (what? you mean you haven’t been there already?!) you’ll be bombarded with the usual buy-Mariah’s-perfume stuff. Which is okay. Then, there’s “dem babies” related-publicity. Now, I know that the Div[a]ine Miss M is hardly managing her own online profiles, but would have had to okay some of this stuff. What “stuff” am I talking about?

Well, the “Favourite Outfit contest”, of course! YOU can have a say in the first outfits the twins wear by taking a look at the gifts Mariah had received and then retweeting the options that YOU like best and telling the team YOUR thoughts!

Then, on Twitter…

It’s Robert Pattinson on Vanity Fair… With a reptile.

I would love to know the thoughts behind the styling and theme for the latest edition of Vanity Fair. Seriously.

I mean, apart from the entertainment value. The hysterical giggle that burst through my lips when I first saw it.

Sure, there’s the fact that it was taken by superstar photographer Annie Liebovitz. So, therefore, it must by default be awesome.

But it’s Robert Pattinson. Dressed as Crocodile Dundee. With a baby reptile slung over his shoulder all casual-like.

You know you want to see it, so I’m happy to oblige.

There’s also a really cool interview, where he talks about fame, Kristen Stewart, admiring Charlie Sheen (!) and working on his latest film.
